The Special Programs Department oversees the following programs: Special Education, Title I, LAP, Homeless and English Language Learner (ELL).

CHILDFIND

East Valley School District offers a continuum of programs and services for young people from birth to age 21 who live within East Valley School District boundaries who may need special education services.

The East Valley School District defines special education needs as having concerns with: hearing, vision, speech, language, health, nutrition, learning, developmental delay, transportation, behavior management, mental retardation, birth defects, orthopedic or spinal problems, autism or other disabilities.

AVAILABILITY OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS

Any application and any required policies, procedures, evaluations, plans, and reports relating to Special Education will be made readily available to parents and other members of the general public through the District Special Education office. East Valley Parents Have a Right to Know...

Did you know that all teachers in Washington hold certificates in order to teach?  This means your child's teacher holds a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. You do have the right to know the qualifications of your child's teacher.  All teachers in the East Valley School District meet the federal and state requirements of Highly Qualified.
