Welcome to Trent Elementary School

Home of the Wildcats

Our Vision

Trent Elementary is a child-centered learning environment, created in partnership with family, school and community.

We help children become lifelong learners, respectful of themselves and others, and contributing members of society.

Sources of Pride

  • A caring teaching staff, working wonders with children every single day.
  • A learning community, willing to explore new ways to improve instructional strategies in math through Math Helping Corp.
  • Free Fruits and Vegetable Grant that provides fresh produce for our daily consumption.
  • School Improvement Plan Team willing to try a new way of planning and processing purposeful learning activities for students, staff, and our community.
  • A Pre-School program, ECEAP, with teachers who are getting our youngest learners ready for kindergarten and beyond.
  • Read Well program: carefully researched, scheduled, and implemented by our two tireless Title teachers.  Big gains in reading achievement have been made already for our primary students.
  • Counselor and behavior assistant providing learning opportunities for children to manage their behaviors.
  • A school-wide discipline plan that focuses on student learning first.
  • A support staff of paraeducators, kitchen and custodial employees who take pride in their work and in their school.
  • A PTA group that is the most active it has ever been in years.
  • Parents who work hard to bring their children to school every day, on time!

Thank you for all you do to make Trent Elementary School the best it can be.
