Equity Analysis

East Valley School District will inspire all students to achieve academic excellence and to become responsible citizens.


Data Analysis and Program Review:

The Teaching and Learning Department Leaders are committed to equity for each student attending East Valley School District and will engage in data-driven practices to identify barriers and improve structural systems for each student:
  • *Regularly disaggregate and analyze student achievement and attendance data to identify inequities;
  • Analyze disaggregated Special Education program data to address overrepresentation of students of color, English Language Learners, or students from low income referred and/or identified for services;
  • Analyze disaggregated advanced program data to address underrepresentation of historically marginalized subgroups;
  • Increase the number of students representative of marginalized subgroups, including those receiving Special Education and ELL supports, enrolled in advanced programs;
  • Analyze disaggregated discipline data to address disproportionality;
  • *Regularly analyze the effectiveness and viability of Well-Being/SEL resources;
  • Ensure all resource allocations support structures that ensure equitable systems; and
  • Develop equity-based accountability systems with *regular data review to monitor effectiveness.

*K-6 Trimester, 7-12 Quarterly/Semester

Course Design, Selection and Adoption of Instructional Materials:
Course designs shall be evaluated, adapted and developed on a continuing basis. Instructional materials shall be selected to ensure alignment with state learning standards and enable all students to master foundational skills and knowledge to achieve college and career readiness.
