ASB
What is ASB?
ASB stands for Associated Student Body, a formal organization of students within a school that represents the student population and promotes student involvement in school governance and activities. Acting as the voice of the students, the ASB communicates student ideas and concerns to school administrators and staff. It also plans and oversees a variety of extracurricular events, such as dances, spirit weeks, and community service projects.
To support these efforts, the ASB often conducts fundraising activities. The funds raised—considered public money—are used strictly for student-related programs and events. ASB members meet regularly to address student issues, plan events, and make decisions aimed at improving the school experience for all students. Officers and representatives are typically elected by the student body to serve on the ASB.
