We would like to share an update regarding our Superintendent search.
At our December 9 Board Meeting, Northwest Leadership Associates (NWLA) presented a progress update. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared input, including those who completed the online survey. In addition to the valuable in-person feedback NWLA received, we are pleased to report that more than 130 survey responses were submitted, all of which are helping guide our decision-making process.
Interest in the Superintendent position has been very strong. We have already begun receiving applications a full month ahead of the deadline—an uncommon and highly encouraging sign. Candidates have expressed interest both locally and from across the Northwest and beyond, representing a wide range of experience.
At our January 8 Special Board Meeting, the Board will begin compiling a preliminary shortlist of candidates. Between now and then, we will finalize interview questions and confirm schedules for both preliminary and finalist interviews.
Preliminary interviews will take place at the Trent Elementary Auditorium on Tuesday, January 13, and Wednesday, January 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m. We encourage community members to attend and participate as we determine which candidates will advance to the finalist stage.
Finalist interviews are currently scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, through Thursday, January 29. These interviews will include a community forum beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the Trent Elementary Auditorium.
