What is a School Counselor?

School counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program focusing on Social/Emotional development, academic support and goal setting, collaboration with families/teachers/administrators/community for student success, advocacy, individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom lessons, as well as analyzing data to help identify student issues, needs, and challenges to proactively support students.
