It is an absolute privilege to share with you that East Valley’s Educator of the Year is Teri-Anne Cox. Teri-Anne is in her 30th year as a Speech Language Pathologist here in East Valley and is currently working at Trent Elementary. She was honored at the Gem of the Valley dinner event on March 27, 2024. Please join us in congratulating Teri-Anne for this most deserving recognition.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, high school seniors met with local businesses for informational interviews. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about their jobs and companies. We will have another round of informational interviews on Monday, April 8, 2024, and then the businesses will conduct mock interviews with students. If you are interested in participating in events like this, please let us know so we can connect you!

Our levy has passed with a current approval rating of 53.29%. While there are still ballots that have yet to be counted, the number is small enough that the overall outcome will not change... the four-year Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) levy passed. I/we are grateful for this as it means that, essentially, we will be able to continue to provide the standard of education and whole-child programs currently existing in the East Valley School District. It does not go unnoticed that these are indeed difficult financial times as property values, fuel, groceries, and utility costs have skyrocketed. We do not take lightly the impact a school levy tax has on our families and community members. Though we are grateful for the passage of our levy, we know we have work to do. We also have some listening to do, and we aim to do just that. In the meantime, thank you ever so much for your support of our students, staff, and schools here in the East Valley School District. Together, we are East Valley!
