On June 24, 2025, The East Valley School District Board of Directors approved a resolution placing a $220 million bond for school construction on the ballot during the February 10, 2026 election.

Per RCW 29A.32.280, the East Valley School District Board of Directors will formally appoint a committee to prepare arguments advocating voters' approval of the measure and shall formally appoint a committee to prepare arguments advocating voters' rejection of the measure. The Board will appoint persons known to favor the measure to serve on the committee advocating approval and shall, whenever possible, appoint persons known to oppose the measure to serve on the committee advocating rejection. If the Board fails to make such appointments by the prescribed deadline, the county auditor shall, whenever possible, make the appointments. If you are interested in serving on the “pro” or “con” committee for the above proposal, please submit your name to the westermans@evsd.org by Noon on December 9th, 2025, to be considered for appointment. It is expected that the Board will appoint members at its December 9th, 2025 regular meeting. Committee members must meet the requirements established the Spokane County Elections Department.
